Technological progress in installation technology has increased exponentially in recent years. Not only new plastics and materials have made an entrance into the world of sanitary equipment, but also electronics and computer technology. In places where water and electricity were once considered a potentially fatal combination, almost anything is conceivable today thanks to new insulation and low-voltage technology: from an illuminated water faucet or shower head all the way to fully automated whirlpools and computer-controlled showers.
